Hilton Head Beaches
Hilton Head Island boasts 12 miles of expansive, hard-packed beaches which range up to 600 feet at low tide. The tide levels vary as much as 6-8 feet every 6 hours. Popular beach activities include bicycling, jogging, watersports and sun bathing.

Public Access to the Beaches of Hilton Head Island
Alder Lane Beach Access off South Forest Beach Drive - (Parking available - 22 metered spaces).
Beachfront at Coligny Circle - (Parking available).
Burkes Beach Access - 13 metered spaces[95]
Coligny Beach Park - parking is free - some parking reserved for annual beach passes from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Driessen Beach Park at the end of Bradley Beach Road - (Parking available - 207 long term parking spaces - some parking reserved for annual beach passes from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
Fish Haul Park - parking is free
Folly Field Beach Park off Folly Field Road - (Parking available - 51 metered spaces).
Islanders Beach Park - annual beach pass parking only
Mitchelville Beach Park - parking is free
All Plantations with beaches have several beach access points for their guests.
All major Island Hotels have beach access for their guests.
Note: Islander Beach Park at the end of Folly Field Road opened in early 1999. The Beach Park is for Property Owners on Hilton Head Island and all cars parking there must have a beach bumper sticker obtained from the Town of Hilton Head Island. The annual cost is $15 per car.
